About this event

Engaging with research as an undergrad can open so many doors – new skills and deeper knowledge, scholarships, awards, jobs, graduate school – but how do you get started?

Research Office 101 is a webinar for new and returning students to begin imagining what their UFV research journey could look like. Between rounds of trivia, prize drawings, and research puns bad enough to make your eyes roll, we’ll talk about:

  • steps you can take as a Year 1 or 2 student to explore research topics that ignite your passion and curiosity;
  • battling imposter syndrome and daring to see yourself as a student researcher;
  • what doors can open as you continue your studies at UFV (e.g., research scholarships, awards, travel grants, Research Assistant positions); and
  • how the Research Office can assist you along the way!
